Dr. Berzin Becomes a Diplomate of The American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry
City Dental Center is pleased to announce that the American Board of
Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry has appointed Dr. Berzin a Diplomate
effective April 29, 2011.
The ABOI/ID Diplomate designation symbolizes the highest level of
competence in implant dentistry. Certification by the ABOI/ID attests to
the fact that a dentist has demonstrated knowledge, ability, and
proficiency in implant dentistry through a rigorous examination process.
The American Board of Oral Implantology / Implant Dentistry was
chartered in 1969 by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).
The Board’s mission is to elevate the standards and advance the science
and art of oral implantology/ implant dentistry by encouraging its study

News Release from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry
At the American Academy of Implant Dentistry's 2010 Annual Meeting, which was held in Boston, Massachusetts, October 20-23, 2010, Lion Berzin, B.D.S., of Toronto, Ontario was recognized as an Associate Fellow of the Academy. As one of 514 dentists who hold this distinguished membership, Dr. Berzin is one of the leading experts in implant care. He maintains a dental practice at 2763 Danforth Avenue.
To qualify for Associate Fellowship, Dr. Lion Berzin completed a minimum of 300 hours of post-doctoral instruction in implant dentistry, performed implant cases and passed the Academy's Associate Fellow examination. This examination, which is conducted by an expert panel of implant dentists, included a written examination, a series of oral examinations and defense of three implant cases that he had completed.
The examination process measured Dr. Lion Berzin's clinical proficiency in surgical and prosthetic dental implant techniques, in-depth knowledge of dental implants, and commitment to excellence in implant dental practice and to the American Academy of Implant Dentistry's standards for ethics and patient welfare.
The American Academy of Implant Dentistry is the oldest professional organization in the U.S. dedicated to the advancement of the implant field. Its more than 3,800 members include general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, and prosthodontists.
